The ride to the office is looking a bit different these days. My family and I left Moscow in late June and are now in London ! The correspondent’s job here is a bit different than in Russia – there, you have a fairly defined beat within a fairly defined geographic area. Here, on the other hand, you have a vast territory to cover – basically all of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and beyond. And the team is bigger, with another correspondent, several producers and camera/editor people. While I’ve done this job temporarily many times before, its extremely different to own the gig full time. It’s a tremendous privilege but it’s also a huge responsibility as its probably our most dynamic and challenging foreign posting. We’ve filed a few stories already, such as this one below. With such a tremendously talented team here, I’m thrilled to be the new correspondent in London !
